1. Very Good. Some annealing marks to inner neck. Remains of some of the original capsule around outer neck. Some inner dirt that should wash out. Tiny nick to lower lip ring. Open bubble to right lower body. Partially open bubble to front amongst the writing that has some dirt inside. Flake under left base edge. Some scuffs and scratches. A few little impact marks. Some of the print is a little light on. 2. Very Good. Print is bigger on this one. Whilst there is no flag obvious, it may be a misprint as a great deal of the upper print is missing as well. Flake to upper front lip ring. A fair bit of the original capsule in place. Dirty inner stain, some of the dirt will wash out. Scuffs and scratches scattered around. A few spots of deeper wear. Some minor impact marks. The print on this covers over half the bottle, roughly seems to go around two thirds of the bottle. Very interesting piece. These are Victorian pieces, in 1901 in The Age was the following: Mr. E. J. Bayley, under brewer at McCracken's brewery, Melbourne, has purchased an interest in the Campbell's Creek brewery, having become a partner of Mr. J. Young. Mr. Bayley will undertake the brewing, and Mr. E. C. N. Hayward, for many years manager and secretary of Montgomerie's brewery, Melbourne, will act as manager. In The Age in 1915 was the following: Mr. Joseph Young, proprietor of the Preston Vale Estate, situated between Harcourt and Sutton Grange, died on Sunday at the advanced aged of 92. Some years ago Mr. Young purchased the Standard Brewery, Campbell's Creek, as a going concern, and, with Mr. Bayley as his managing partner, made a great success of it. They then sold out at a satisfactory price to the Fitzgerald Brewing and Malting Company. Grade: N/A Estimate: $$30.00 - $40.00
