Imperial // Pint. Base Mark: (Jagged Dot). Black Glass Black Glass Applied top. Black. 1 Pint. 238 mm. 1850s
Very Good. Flake to outer lip, sliver flake along upper and inner lip and some bruising, this is all over about 25 mm, the bruise is down about 6 mm on inner lip. Dull matt finish throughout. Seashells inside. Some white streaks which I thought were scratches, but I just managed to wipe some of these off! There are a few scratches as well. Very dark glass is difficult to see through at all. The dot to mid base is very crude, like a little pontil it has dangerously jagged edges. 1850s is a guess age wise, it may be a bit earlier. A wonderful piece of early black glass. Grade: 7 Estimate: $$30.00 - $40.00
