Excellent. Prince Albert glass tobacco humidor or jar with lid for loose tobacco. Used by the R.J. Reynolds Company in the early 1900s.  Prince Albert was first introduced in 1907 and gave the R.J. Reynolds Co their first national product.  Factory 256 was built in 1892, burning down in 1998. A wonderful piece of American tobacco history. Couple of inner lip flakes on one side, there are some nibbles around the remainder. Crude marks to the body from making in the form of swirls on the surface of the glass. A little usage wear under the base. This early jar has an Owen's Ring under the base. Some fine surface scratches. A couple of tiny surface bubbles. The lid has some little nibbles and flakes to the lower ground edge. The gold leaf pattern is somewhat worn, but you can still just make out where it was. Grade: 8.5 Estimate: $50 - 75
