T. Davis / Trade (Emu) Mark / R.G.D. / Burnie. Base: M. (Tasmania). Aerated Water Codd Dobson or Four way type. Applied top. Aqua. 7 oz. 185 mm. 1900s
Very Good. A great bottle in this early, chunky small size with true applied lip. Couple of fisheyes to lip and some scratches. There is a lumpy, hard crud to both the front and rear lip, whatever this is, it is not damage. You can see where bits have come off, leaving a dull glass surface underneath. These lumps will clean off, the remaining dullness will likely clean to once it comes off. Left chamber has a 5 mm long deep nibbled scratch. Left rear mid body has a couple of short deep scratches, not nibbled this time though. Scattered scuffs and scratches otherwise, nothing overly deep. A few fisheyes to be found. Nice, heavy embossing has just a few minor marks, the trade mark is quite detailed. What a lovely little bottle. Grade: 7.6 Estimate: $$300.00 - $400.00
