Large early Yorkshire Tykes' Motto Mug. Pottery Big Mug Early English Mug. 102 mm. 1860s
Fair. Repaired. Possible chip repair to lip opposite handle, there is overpainting in this region. Small rim repair above the man's head. To left of man there is some overpainting from bottom up to around the bottom of the mug he is holding. This seems to have been an attempt to minimise the effects of a crack. The entire underside of the base is painted. Looking internally, the entire base is painted inside as well, in fact the entire inner mug is painted. There must have been a hole in the base? It is difficult to know how much has been restored, suffice to say it is restored. Scratches. Grade: N/A Estimate: $$20.00 - $30.00
