C. H. Peacock, Chemist , "The Block Pharmacy", Canterbury. Medicine Advertising Advertising thermometer. 308 mm. 1900s
Good. In 1908 the following appeared in the Box Hill Reporter: New Pharmacy for Canterbury. Mr Chas. H. Peacook, late of H. Francis and Co. of MeIbourne, has opened business as a chemist at Canterbury, right on the corner of Maling Road and Bryson street, in the building known as "The Block." His drugs are new, and with the training Mr Peacock has had, they that are sick or in need of his services may rely on pureness and accuracy of prescription, and skillfulness. Holes through top have flaked and have taken out the PE of Peacock. A little wear to the edges. Discolouration. Look like a sticker was later put over the address, maybe he moved and re-used this? Whatever the case, it is not there now. A great piece, and rare, the first we have seen! Grade: N/A Estimate: $200 - 250
