1. Excellent. An American machinery company that has been in Australia since the early 1900s. This plate has some grime and dust. Some usage scratches and minor marks, but pretty good in general. (8.0). 2. Very Good. In 1933 the Olympic Tyre & Rubber Co. was founded by Frank Beaurepaire to manufacture tyres in Australia. In 1980 Beaurepaires and Olympic amalgamated with Dunlop to form Dunlop & Olympic Tyres. The Olympic name was brought about by Frank as he himself was an Olympian, he was an Australian distance freestyle swimmer from the 1900s to the 1920s, who won three silver and three bronze medals, from the 1908 Summer Olympics in London to the 1924 Summer Olympics in Paris, setting 15 world records! This plate has seen some use and has quite a few scratches and a bit of glaze wear scattered around. Some dust and spots of grime. (7.1). 3. Very Good. A nice advertising plate from the Royal Automobile Club of Victoria. This has some dust and grime. Little glaze flake to upper rim. Glaze miss or two. Some scratches and spots of wear. (7.6).
