Large display jar. Fancy shape with pedestal base. Original ground neck and the original ground stopper looks like a Waratah design. Glassware Jar Rolled lip. Ground inner neck & stopper. Large pontil mark to bottom of stopper. Smooth base to the jar. Clear. 480 mm with stopper in place. 1890s-1900s
Near Mint. There is a 10 x 2 mm chip off the underside of the rolled lip but this looks to be from the time of manufacture. A bit dirty and grimy. The only wear on the underside of the base edge look like where it has been deliberately ground to make it sit flat without wobbling. Filled with torn and shredded paper. Spectacular piece of glass.
