The / Pure Milk / & / Dairy Co / Ltd / Melbourne / Imperial Pint. Base Mark: M. (Victoria) Household Dairy Applied top. Swing stopper style enclosure with ceramic cap. Short, dumpy style bottle. Aqua. 1 Pint. 212 mm. 1910s
Very Good. Original stopper and wire is in good nick. There is a small flake to the upper part of the stopper. Left lower part of lip next to the wire has a 13 mm nibbled section. Behind this there is another 12 or 13 mm of flakes under the wire, from making. Another small nibbled part to lower lip on right side. Shallow open bubble to right seam lower down. A few fine scuffs near rear base. Some minor scratches and the like to be found. Some very light dullness inside, may simply need a good soaking clean as it is generally shiny throughout. The embossing is great, there is a few little nibbled marks. Little impact next to I of imperial at base edge has a fisheye from it over 4 x 3 mm. Great example of a highly desirable early Aussie milk bottle. Grade: 7.5 Estimate: $500 - 750
