Colleen Bawn (British Registration Diamond). Base embossing: 6702. Spirits Whisky/Whiskey Applied top. Seven Sided. Bright emerald green. 26 oz. 296 mm. 1880s
Very Good. The British Registration Diamond is for 12th October 1883, William Barke & Son, London. Small nibble on internal lip with an associated internal lip ding, 9 x 2 mm but difficult to detect. Some minor scuffs and scratches, and some tiny fisheyes to be found. It appears that Colleen Bawn in the sense of a drink was/is a cocktail of Whisky, Benedictine, Chartreuse & Egg. Possible that this bottle was an early mixed drink or base for this cocktail. Grade: 7.6 Estimate: $50 - 75
