Good. This would have had a wicker basket, this is no longer in place as can be seen. 20 x 10 mm repaired chip to left lip towards the front. The right rear lip has a larger repaired chip over about 40 x 12 mm. The paint job was obviously varnished afterwards with the coating applied to the shoulder, this is peeling and a bit clear in places so can be seen now. There is a groove in the rear lip, this may be an impressed 1? Some discoloured marks to the unglazed body. Some grime scattered around. Impression is quite good. A rare Gippsland demijohn, needs a better paint job on the lip repairs, but remains a good, solid example. Grade: 6.4 Estimate: $300 - 400
