Excellent. This one has the original wooden stopper marked for Simmonds & Osborne, Wellington. Has a large lion which is quite detailed, the word Wellington is small on this one. Wire handle is rusty, but solid. Plenty of grime scattered around which will clean off. Minor lip scratch towards rear. Small spot or two of surface wear to shoulder edge. Spot of surface rust or two to be found. Some scratches to the glaze surface, nothing deep. A couple of the scratches are quite long and slightly discoloured. Some minor spots of discolouration. A few tiny glaze nicks. Glaze miss or two. A great example of this demijohn. One of seven variations on offer this auction! Grade: 8.5 Estimate: $200 - 250
