Near Mint. Quite a stunning piece, one of four from the same chemist in this auction. An early piece of milk glass, the paper label is discoloured with a bit under half of it missing. The original cork still has its cloth around it and fits OK, although there is a gap and it is difficult to remove as it is recessed. The lip edge has some nicks from making, the gold leaf design is amongst these, so definitely from making. Just one or two scratches to the painted design around the shoulder edge. These are not deep. A few other scratches and minor marks. Historically important chemist item sourced from the chemist shop of Holden & Mellowship, Hindmarsh. Grade: 9.3 Estimate: $200 - 300
