BP / Comprox. Potters stamp: Made by / Timaru Potteries. Demijohn Printed All white with black print. 2 Gallon. 376 mm without stopper. 1940s
Excellent. There is a tiny glaze flake to outer lip. A making split where the upper handle meets the body. Fine glaze hairline across the handle at the other end where it meets the body lower down. Tiny under base flake is likely a potters pull. Highly shiny glaze has some minor wear in places and scattered fine scratches. Specks through the glaze from making. This was made at the Timaru Potteries in New Zealand. A great piece of garagenalia, Comprox is a multi-purpose detergent from the large BP company (British Petroleum). Grade: 8.3 Estimate: $75 - 125
