Large Apothecary Jar with lid and Insert: Ung: Resin: No base mark. (James A. Lerk Collection) Medicine Chemist Large Apothecary Jar with lid and Insert: Ung: Resin: Body is 195 mm. 1880s
Very Good. The body is undamaged, it has stain and plenty of crazing, but not much else. The black print has flaked in places. Some scratches. The insert is very similar in condition, stain and crazing throughout with a few scratches. Still has remnants of the greasy contents internally amongst other grime. Smells greasy as well. The lid has a large poorly repaired chunk over about 150 mm x 50 mm. You can position the lid so this cannot be seen on the shelf though, so I have not downgraded the condition a lot for this lid damage. This is from the James A. Lerk collection. Grade: 7.3 Estimate: $100 - 150
