J. H. Abbott & Co / Sole Agents // Boston / Mfg; Coy's / Boot Cream. Potters Stamp: The Bendigo Pottery / Epsom / Bendigo. (Victoria) (James A. Lerk Collection) Household Polish Internal Thread. Stoneware. All White. Impressed. About 4 oz. 80 mm. 1910s
Very Good. 5 x 3 mm shallow flake to shoulder edge. Couple of other little nicks to the shoulder and some fine wear. Next to potters stamp at base edge is a nibbled glaze pool, basically just a little roughness, it is very hard to see. Stained throughout. Some crazing. I am not sure whether this was once white or whether it was always a light tan colour? We have sold one in the past, but we had that listed as 93 mm which is considerably larger. The stopper on this is not correct, it is a standard ginger beer stopper, and has a large flaked chip from the top of it. This is from the James A. Lerk collection. Grade: 7.3 Estimate: $200 - 250
