Robert Thin / Liverpool with British registration diamond to base (dated 11th May 1858 and registered to John Cummington & Co., Liverpool). Known as the Robert Thin Leaf Bottle. Goldfields Vinegar Applied top. Neck ring. 9 scalloped rips down neck to shoulder, where there is a leaf pattern draped over the shoulder between each of these nine ribs. Six ribs down the bottle at the front from here, with a label space at the rear. There is a leaf pattern at the bottom of each of these six ribs. Aqua. 26 oz. 335 mm. 1850s-1860s
Excellent. May have had a very light tumble clean but very difficult to tell. Can find a light scratch or two if you look really closely. A tiny flake at the base edge. Magnificent example of a classic goldfields era bottle. Grade: 8.9 Estimate: $200 - 300
