Unmarked pair of large brickworks dogs. (New South Wales) Pottery Australian Unmarked pair of large brickworks dogs. Glazed one is 281 mm and unglazed one is 292 mm. 1900s
Glazed one is poor. The head has been broken off and reglued. There is a large chunk out of the base to the rear. Under base chipped flake to the rear edge. Chip to the nose looks like it has been glued back into place as well. Some crude making marks. The unglazed one has several cracks, these appear to be firing cracks, but that is irrelevant. Flake to rear body. Some discoloured spots and minor marks. Not sure what pottery these were made at, but they are certainly Australian. Possibly from one of the Newcastle region brickworks. These are different as well,so maybe made at different places? Grade: N/A Estimate: $50 - 75
