Early decanter with etched kookaburra. Polished pontil to base. Spirits Whisky/Whiskey Clear glass stoppered whisky decanter. 230 mm without stopper. 1880s
Excellent. Some very light inner haze. A bit of grime. A few scratches and minor marks. The pontil has been ground back, in the process the grinding tool has caused wear elsewhere under the base. The bottom part of the stopper is chipped. A wonderful piece of Australiana, this appears to be reasonably early. Grade: 8.2 Estimate: $50 - 75
