C. R. Moore / Daylesford / Estabd 1862 / Trade (Pigeon) Mark / Regd 1886. No base mark. (Victoria) Aerated Water Lamont Applied top. Aqua. 13 oz. 228 mm. 1880s
Very Good. Polished. Small burst bubble to inner lip. Some work has been done around the lip to minimise small nicks and possible little inner lip flake or two - nothing major. A few tiny nicks to upper lip. Little impact to left upper seam. Left mid front body has a small chip over 3 x 6 mm. A bit of flaking to right mid body over about 6 x 6 mm. Crate wear to lower embossing with some fisheyes and pit marks in this region. Main embossing is a little round, the word mark next to the trade mark is very hard to see. The embossing would have been rounded from making. There is still whittle to the glass. Remains of some fine scratches and minor nicks. A rare bottle, this is probably the earliest lamont from this company, would have been made soon after registration in 1886. Grade: 7 Estimate: $100 - 150
