Four way pour Dobson style patent with four tear drops. Aqua. 6 oz. 2 & 3. Applied top. Hills patent with three triangle dimples. Aqua. 6 oz. 198 mm. 1890s-1900s
1. Very Good. Inner front lip has a fine fracture that is very shallow, only a small way into the glass. A few shallow impacts and flakes around the lip. Open bubble near one of the rear dimples. Some fine inner dirt and light haze. Impact to front base edge, beside this is a mark that looks a little like damage, but is a milky impurity from making. Some scuffs, scratches and fine impact marks. Good heavy embossing has some minor high point wear. A few small fisheyes. This is the first small Dobson patent variation that we have sold, and not a bad example in this relatively shiny, unpolished condition. 2. Fair. Small flake to outer lip edge to one side. Rear inner lip fine bruise. Left upper neck has a crack that curves and runs along the lip join over about 35 mm, there is 14 mm crack up from this that goes into the lip. Some pitted marks. Some scuffs and scratches. A few impacts and fisheyes. Relatively shiny, looks OK on the shelf. 3. Very Good. Couple of little surface bruises to the inner rear lip. Little flake to upper left lip. Some inner dirt. Scuffs, scratches and fisheyes throughout, including a few pitted scratches. This variety with the large badge to the rear is a bit harder to get than the later varieties with only three lines of writing to rear. Grade: N/A Estimate: $50 - 75
