Lightning. Smooth base. (Australia) Household Jar Lightning or Bail type. Ground lip. Aqua. Half Gallon. 264 mm with lid and bail. 1900s
Very Good. 12 x 4 mm chip to the outer back lip. Some other small chips to the front inner ground lip. Rust around the neck from the bail. Large inclusion at the lower back and around it is small fractures and the like over about 15 x 13 mm. Scratches around. Haze inside. Very strong embossing. A hard to get and quite unusual jar. Grade: 7.8 Estimate: $60 - 80
