Pair of Fruit Jars: 1. Trade Mark / (VR Monogram) / Lightning. Smooth base. 2. Lightning / Fruit Jar. Base: 3. (Australia) Household Jar 1. Lightning or Bail type closure. Ground lip. Aqua. Half Gallon. 2. Lightning or Bail type closure. Seam through lip. Double collar top with groove between the wider parts. Aqua. Quart. 270 & 202 mm with lid and bail in place. 1900s-1920s
1. Excellent. Shallow 19 x 7 mm chip to the lip. Some other small chips and marks around the ground lip. Some areas of haze. Scuffs and scratches. Partially open bubble from making at the top of the V in the VR Monogram. Great looking jar. 2. Good. But there is a large 20 x 7 mm chip to the wide part of the top at the front left. Some flakes and small chips on the lip but also this is quite roughly made. Lovely embossing and shiny jar otherwise with minor marks. Grade: N/A Estimate: $40 - 60
