Very Good. Shallow chip to outer front lip rim. Some nibbles to lip edge, towards the rear this expands out to flakes and deeper wear. Some nibbles and small flakes to inner lip rim. Unusual and unknown item. Bottom part does not look at all old, the lip glazed area does though. The date of 1885 may represent the beginning of something in Boort which had this pot made on an anniversary, maybe 50 or 100 years? I can't find any details on it at all or what the HC may stand for. I haven't seen another one, so whenever it was made, it was in low numbers. Grade: 7.5 Estimate: $20 - 30
