Very Good. Registered on 19th January 1857. AN AMAZING PIECE OF AUSTRALIAN CRICKETING HISTORY! Yes, this early buckle depicts a game between the Melbourne Cricket Club in its formative years with the United Aboriginal Eleven! I have never seen a two piece buckle like this. The left piece has an attachment on it which is held in place with two hooks. Some corrosion to this and dirt, this is pretty much as found. The right section also has an attachment, this is held in place with two hooks as well. The latch underneath has broken off, but remains loose with this item. All found together and simply rinsed to remove loose dirt. This side has some corrosion as well but not much in the way of pitted marks. Probably the most historically significant buckle directly attributable to a game between the UAE and MCC! Grade: N/A Estimate: $400 - 500
