Very Good. Chip repairs. A majestic looking bottle and one of Australia's best ginger beers. This one has had a couple of repairs. The very top of the lip has been touched up. Looks to only be very shallow. Around the back base is an overpainted area extending up around 70 mm and covering about half the base edge. But the potters stamp is in the middle of this and that is original. Tapping this whole area with a fine blade the only bit that actually seems to have fill in it is at the base edge and only about 25 x 10 mm to one side of the potters stamp. After filling this the repairer has clearly painted more of the bottle to blend it in. There is also a fine lacquer over the whole surface but peeling that off over the vast majority of the bottle shows nothing but original pottery. Looking inside just shows some light drip lines from the lip repair and not much else so no major damage by the looks of it. Superb bottle. Grade: 7.5 Estimate: $5000 - 7500
