Excellent. Some glaze wear and flaking on the lip, but also some of this is quite rounded at the edge suggesting it is as made. Some scratches on the neck including a deeper area on the left side from the metal handle. Shallow chip at the bottom of the tap hole. Some stain on the base. Some scratches and minor marks around the body. Some making marks. Small chips or wear at the incised lines around the shoulder. Really though this is an exceptional example. Original handle and tap. Superb print. An absolute must as a centrepiece to any Rowlands collection. Grade: 8.8 Estimate: $10000 - 15000
