Good. (6). Heavily stained, probably smoke stain due to being in a very hot environment. A whitish mark to the top right quadrant is through the glaze, probably heat damage. Couple of other glaze misses to the face but they are not white, one is over the last E of Newcastle. 16 x 5 mm nibbled chip to the bottom of the flange, this is very white. Whilst this is so heavily discoloured, it is mostly structurally fine, if it cleaned up it would be a decent example. This comes with a base which is pretty good with a little discolouration and some minor wear and little glaze flakes. A rare lid, this is the first we have sold, and well worth taking a punt on in case it cleans up. We have a range of rare Newcastle chemists and pot lids in this auction.. Estimate: $300-500
