A. Hobbs / Registered / A. H in a Diamond / Trade Mark / Kyneton // M. G. B. Co. No Base Mark. (Victoria). Aerated Water. Codd. Niagara type. Applied top. Aqua. 6 oz. 191 mm. 1890s
Very Good. (7.1). Little nibbled flake to front lip edge. Upper left rear lip has a little nibbled flake, only about 4 x 3 mm in total. Between these two marks is a fine split that goes the full 7 mm across the lip, but is quite shallow, and then on the inner lip goes down about 4 mm, but again, not a full thickness crack just a partial fracture type split. This is likely from making, but is there. Tiny flake to outer right neck. Front base edge has a 5 mm pitted scratch. Next to this to the left is a 7 x 4 mm nibbled flake which is not deep. 2 x 2 mm minor flake type mark to left rear base edge. Some minor scratches and the odd scuff mark. Great embossing. A bit of inner base dirt which will soak out. Extremely rare bottle, rarer than the coloured lip examples. We have never sold a small example of these. This looks fantastic, any marks are small and insignificant.. Estimate: $1000-1250
