Pair of small "Goldfields" era bottles: 1. C & B embossed near base (Crosse & Blackwell) facetted Meat Extract / Essence bottle. Pontil scar to base. 2. Shear lip Scent or Essence in the shape of a Goldfields style bottle with a kind of Keyhole design. Smooth base. Goldfields Essence 1. Fancy panelled and facetted shape. Clear (Flint Glass). Tool finished top. About 2 oz. 2. Keyhole type panels. Fancy edges. Shear or burst lip. Aqua. About 1 oz. 104 & 89 mm. 1850s
1. Fair. Displays well but has a crack that runs around half of the lower body / base edge. Also on the bulb at the neck is a fine star fracture that also has a vertical 20 mm fracture running through it. A bit of haze and some dirt. The faults are pretty much all to one side. The C & B side displays very well. Unusual in this flint glass type. 2. Very Good. Dull with some stain. Minor scuffs and marks. Don't recall seeing this shape before. Lovely bottle.
