R. Conlons / Sarsaparilla. No base mark. (Roma, Queensland) Spirits Sarsaparilla Applied top. Dump. Aqua. 10 oz. 155 mm. 1880s
Good. Crude folds and lines around inner lip. There may be a little bruise amongst the folds, it is really hard to tell. Streaky line of fine bubbles around the lip from making. Inclusion to upper front right neck has a fine partial thickness fracture from it on the inside only over about 20 mm. Another shorter one curves to left of this, like a big annealing mark. Small spot of wear to outer front right lip. Stained throughout, the surface has a swirled effect in places. 5 x 3 mm deep pitted mark to upper mid rear. Scuffed scratch to lower front that ends in a fisheye. Some fisheyes and impact marks. Scuffs and scratches scattered around. This is a very rare sarsaparilla bottle from Conlon in Roma, Queensland. Looks great with the script embossing. Grade: 6.6 Estimate: $300 - 400
