Not To Be Taken. Around Heel: This bottle is the property of Gillard Gordon Ltd. Base Mark: 8 oz. (Rozelle, Sydney, New South Wales). Medicine. Eucalyptus. Applied top, spun finish. Green rectangle poison shape with lines down front. 8 oz. 166 mm. 1920s
Excellent. (8.1). Some dirt and grime, but this will soak off. 3 x 2 mm shallow flake to upper front lip. Even smaller nibbled spot to left upper lip. Tiny nick to right lip edge. Will clean up beautifully. Extremely rare I would suggest, I've never seen one before. Gillard Gordon Ltd went into liquidation in 1925, so this bottle predates that. This firm made a range of eucalyptus products such as various oils, ointment, lino polish, mosquito oil, embrocation, etc. advertising themselves as wholesale and retail merchants and manufacturers of eucalyptus and other oils. Hence, whilst this is not a traditional style of bottle for eucalyptus, it certainly contained one of the range of eucalyptus products from this company! This would be a great variation and stand out on any eucalyptus display!. Estimate: $300-400
