Colman's Mustard Box, P. Gleeson, Federal Store, Yongala. (South Australia). Miscellaneous. Box. Early wooden box with large label under lid, small sellers label over this from the Federal Store, Yongala. About 525 mm long. 1910s
Very Good. (N/A). Does have a label to the outer front, but this has been painted over and is totally illegible. Ends have Colman's Mustard impressed, again, painted over. I am guessing this was painted so the box could be repurposed to store Lamp Wicks? Oh, and this has Lamp Wicks printed to the rear. This box, however, is all about the inside. The label on the inner lid has great colours, does have a little paint to the edges, a couple of tears and some stains, but is really good. The store label is the most important piece from P. Gleeson, Drapery, Grocery, Boots, Federal Store, Yongala. This has a tear or two, some writing and discolouration, but is pretty good. Where is Yongala you may ask? It is a small town a bit over 200 kilometres north of Adelaide.. Estimate: $30-50
