Both embossed Signal in script diagonally up the bottle. Bases: 4 / 3 to large one and X on smaller one. Both with fitting lids and opal glass inserts.. Household. Jar. Screw thread jars. Crude seam through lip. Clear. Half Gallon & Quart. 225 & 178 mm. 1920s
N/A. (N/A). Large jar is EXC. There is a 14 x 3 mm "chip" to the thread at the back but it is smooth all over so is either from making or has been ground smooth. Some scratches and scuffs all around. Well embossed. Smaller jar is EXC but the whole front top is deformed. Like it has melted, possibly from making or possibly from heat applied later. Just some scuffs and minor marks otherwise. Nice pair of Australian jars.. Estimate: $20-40
