N/A. (N/A). The box is a fantastic thing. Printed at both ends including a picture of a Mason's Jar and details that the case contained one dozen quart Mason's Fruit Jars from the Lockport Glass Works in New York. One end is better than the other. There is a nail through the bottom of one end and another pushing the edge out slightly. Has dividers inside between the jars. One panel of the lid has print underneath, looks like this is from another box. There are borer holes in the wood. Fantastic I say again! Now for the jars, these are old jars of various types, but not the jars that would have been shipped in this box originally. We shall briefly list embossing and a basic condition for each jar: 1. Root, Mason. Minor lip nibbles. Full of tiny bubbles. 2. Mason's Patent, Nov. 30th, 1858. Minor lip nibbles. A few scratches. 3. Ball, Mason. Scuffed scratch to upper front right and some grime. 4. Mason's CFJCo, Patent Nov 30th 1858. Lip sliver and nibbles. Some scratches and spots of grime. 5. Mason's Keystone, Patent Nov 30th 1858. Lip nibbles. Open bubbles to inner shoulder. Inner grime and light haze. 6. Mason's Patent, Nov. 30th, 1858. Little lip flakes. 7. Mason's Iron Cross, Patent Nov. 30th 1858. Lip nibbles. Grime and haze internally. 8. Whitney Mason Pat'd 1858. Some fine scratches and little nicks. Surface bubble to lower rear. 9. Atlas Mason's Patent. Chip to rear lip with J shaped crack down from it. Fracture to right lip. 10. Ball, Mason with lid seat. Couple of lip flakes. Some spots of grime which will clean off. 11. Ball, Mason. Little flake or two to lip. Inner dirt which will soak out. 12. Mason's Patent Nov 30th 1858. Crude making marks, dark marks to mid front are inclusions within the glass. Crude folds throughout. Woonderful selection all round with most jars in really good condition.. Estimate: $200-300
