J. Palling / (Star) / Heathcote. Potters stamp: The Bendigo Pottery / Epsom / Bendigo. (Victoria). Ginger Beer. Cork Stoppered. Champagne shape, two tone, tan top with black print. 10 oz. 220 mm. 1910s
Excellent. (8). Tiny glaze nick to front lip. 8 x 3 mm sliver under the heel below the potters stamp this is likely a potters pull. Tiny spot of wear or similar to base edge near here, I think that is a tiny potters blow out. A couple of really small potters blow outs further up the rear. 2 x 2 mm glaze flake to lower right, a few little similar spots to right lower badge area, and a couple more to lower left, these are all extremely minor and likely glaze pops from making. Some tiny nicks amongst the badge region are likely similarly making marks. Dint near left base edge is a making mark. Scrape near rear base edge is from making. Glaze miss or two to body and some other making marks. There is barely even a scratch to be found, I am pretty sure this has never been buried. Very rare bottle, we sold one in Auction 46, but it was different with Ginger Beer printed below the badge. This is the first of this variation that we have sold. Estimate: $1000-1250
