Hill // T* Field / Potter / Sydney. (New South Wales). Ginger Beer. Cork Stoppered. Salt glaze. Impressed. Dump. 145 mm. 1840s
Good. (6). Chunk down about 22 mm just into the upper shoulder has been restored to the lip above and to the right of the Hill impression. Can't tell the extent width wise, but I am thinking about half the circumference. Some little flakes around the heel including a 13 x 4 mm sliver to edge below the potters stamp. Little potters blowouts and iron spots scattered around. The largest blowout is 4 x 3 mm, this is a deep mark. General glaze wear throughout. Extremely rare, the T* Field stamp is rare and sought after, but to get a double stamped example is even better, especially Hill - I can't recall one of these being sold before? Estimate: $1000-1500
