Tooram Milk / Imperial Quart. No base mark. (Victoria). Household. Dairy. Applied top. Lightning Stopper. Aqua. 1 Quart. 295 mm without stopper. 1880s
Excellent. (8.7). The original stopper has a flat chip to the upper part. The wire is heavily corroded. Some rust around the lug holes and a small spot of scuffed rusty scratching where the wire clamps down on the neck on each side. Some little spots of grime which will clean off. Tiny surface bubble to lower front right neck. Some slightly scuffed scratches, other light scratches and the odd scuff mark around the base edge as well. Superb example of an extremely rare bottle, we have never sold one before, in fact, I have not seen one auctioned off at all. A pinnacle and must for any milk collection. Tooram was out from Allansford in the Warrnambool region of south west Victoria. Estimate: $2000-3000
