Demijohn. Printed. Internal Thread. Tan Top with Olive Tones. Black Print. 1 Gallon. 315 mm. 1920s
Very Good. (7.2). 16 x 10 mm chip to outer left lip. Some scuffs and scratches around the shoulder as well as making lumps, this area has crazing throughout as well. Front left shoulder edge has a mark over a total of 37 x 8 mm, this is a kiln kiss from making, the right hand of this is a chip of about 10 x 6 mm which is still part of this making mark. Glaze misses to upper front across some of the print. Making gouge above this as well. Couple of flat chips under the heel look to be potters pulls from making. Some potters blow out and glaze pops around the body from making. Some little glaze nicks and surface flakes to be found. Some wear where slightly bulged bands circle this demijohn. Some discoloured spots. Some scratches and minor marks. Interesting with both type of potters stamp in place, but even moreso for the upper glaze colouration. Whilt this is tan, it does have olive tones and in some lighting has a khaki appearance, then in other lighting it looks majorly tan, though a little different to the usual lighter tan common varieties.
