R. Harrison / Registered / Trade (RH Monogram) Mark / Celebrated / Ginger Beer / Brewed / Spring St Fitzroy. Potters stamp: CAP (Commonwealth Art Pottery). (Victoria). Ginger Beer. Cork Stoppered. Two tone, tan top, off white body. Black print. 10 oz. 219 mm. 1910s
Very Good. (7.4). Has a cork firmly stuck in the top. 5 x 5 mm flake to left rear lip edge. 6 x 3 mm scrape just through the left lip edge glaze. A few other nicks and minor marks around the upper lip. Around the lower lip edge there are some nicks and small flakes as well, the largest is only 3 x 3 mm and shallow. 5 x 3 mm chip under rear base edge is likely a potters pull from making. Couple of discoloured surface scratches to left lower shoulder. Left rear shoulder has a couple of short gouge type marks from making. Spot or two of glaze wear to the base edge. Small potters blow out to lower left. Some Little spots of surface wear and scratches to the body. A decent example of a rare variety, not sure I have seen a CAP made Harrison before? Estimate: $50-75
