Sold for A$85

Philip Ashberry & Sons Britannia Metalware Table Condiment Set. Makers mark: P A & S S / 1865. (Sheffield, United Kingdom). Metalware. Condiment Set. Philip Ashberry & Sons Britannia Metalware Table Condiment Set. Tray is about 150 mm across. 1860s

Excellent. (N/A). Some tarnishing in places. A few little flakes to the glass items, these have polished pontils. Some scratches and minor marks. Lovely set and quite early too! Ashberry was active at 21 Bowling Green St, Sheffield (1856-1935). Philip Ashberry began trading in 1829 making Britannia metal wares. The firm became "& Sons" in 1856 and "Ltd" in 1900, dating this between 1856 and 1900, but I have a feeling the 1865 on the base is the actual date? Estimate: $50-75
