W. D. Glynn & Co / Cordial Makers / (Rooster) / Cessnock. No Base Mark. (New South Wales). Aerated Water. Crown Seal. Applied top, spun finish. Aqua. 26 oz. 283 mm. 1910s
Good. (6.4). Line of horizontal scratches to inner neck down about 50 mm from the lip. Some patchy inner dirt that should soak out. Some wear around the outer bulged part of the lip. 8 x 5 mm angled crack above the L of Glynn. 10 mm fine fracture to left lower shoulder. Behind this to the rear is a short 5 mm fine fracture. Upper right rear has a fine 3 x 2 mm surface bruise, really little surface flake next to this. 3 x 2 mm shallow bruise to left of W at front. Below the embossing down from the NO of Cessnock is a bruise of about 8 x 5 mm, then off to the right is an angled fracture over about 8 mm with a small bruise over it, and then behind the seam from here is another bruise of about 4 x 5 mm. The right base edge has a bruise of about 6 x 7 mm. 5 x 5 mm bruise to rear base edge. Couple of little nibbled impact flakes to the heel. Some fisheyes and impact marks around the base edge. Some fisheyes and impacts scattered around the body, also scuffs and scratches scattered around, mostly the upper body and shoulder region and only a couple of slightly deeper scuffed marks. Embossing is strong, it does have a bit of high point wear in places and a couple of nibbled marks, but overall is really good. An extremely rare bottle, I have never seen one for sale. Yes, it has a few issues, but they really do not stand out, soak a bit of oil into these and you will have a top quality show bottle. Once in a lifetime opportunity here! Estimate: $1000-1500
