A M (In a Triangle). No potters mark. (Annie Mason? Tasmania). Ginger Beer. Cork Stoppered. Salt Glaze. Impressed. Dump. 10 oz. 160 mm. 1850s
Very Good. (7.3). Some wear around the lip. More wear around the shoulder and base edge as well. Little glaze flake to front right base edge. Another minor flake to base edge around to the right from this. Rear base edge has a little scrape as well. Some general light glaze wear around the body in places. A few scratches and minor marks. This is an early Tasmanian bottle which is quite rare. I have been told the A M stands for Annie Mason, though I cannot be sure? The examples known have all been found in the Hobart region, so would certainly appear to be from that region. Estimate: $200-300
