Wooden bottle with stopper. Very early crude drawings of a Horse, people and a house. Motto or Poem underneath in very fine print (spelling roughly as on the piece): Heir to luck to every tred Especeally to mine I love the drap well in the cap it dearly heals the wime (womb? mind?). Early Glass. Wooden. Carved wooden bottle. Joined just below the shoulder. Hand done scene. Original stopper. 311 mm. 1700s - 1800s
Excellent. (N/A). Short split in the top. Some minor marks and wear around. Little chip at the bottom edge of the stopper. Qutie a remarkable piece. Apparently brought out from Scotland in the late 1800s but could be earlier. Despite it being a bottle shape doesn't seem like something that would have held liquid, or at least not for any length of time. Very interesting piece. Estimate: $50-100
