Andrews / & Seddon. No potters mark. (Tasmania). Pottery. Campbells. Pottery bottle, embossed. Chocolate colour. 108 mm. 108 mm. 1880s
Mint. (9.9). These were made at the Campbells pottery in Launceston and are a great piece of early Tasmanian made pottery. They come in a few sizes and some colour variations, this is the smallest I have seen, in the chocolate colour glaze. Dint to right lip is the way this was made. Along the right rear edge is a making split that is glazed over. Left seam is also a little split and glazed over from making. Lower left rear corner has a short, but wide making split across it. Lower front right also has a short, wide split from making. Barely even a scratch, this is pretty much as made. Wonderful example, I didn't know these came in this smaller size, it is the first we have sold. Estimate: $300-400
