Very Good. (7.2). Polished. Couple of little impact type fisheyes to upper lip, outer lip has a little nibbled impact mark. Hazy to the short inner neck, there is a little inner neck surface crazing and a short annealing mark or two. Large bubble above the trade mark, the top part of this has a crecsent shaped fisheye along it. The rear panel has a couple of smoothed over flakes along one edge, the upper example is about 6 x 3 mm, the lower example is about 5 x 4 mm, both of these are shallow. 4 x 3 mm shallow bruise to lower right towards the base. 13 x 7 mm bubble to heel at right rear is partly burst and fractured. 15 mm nibbled scrape along the right heel, there is a little 4 mm fracture along this. Some nibbled impacts and short pitted scratches to the base edge corners. Little surface flake or two to base edge. Some little surface bubbles. Some little fisheyes and impact marks. Remains of some scratches and minor marks. Really good embossing has some minor spots of wear and is just a tad rounded. Overall, a solid example of a very rare bottle, the first we have sold. This is a bitters bottle, Celerine having being regaistered as a trade mark by Rowlands on October 23rd, 1890, clearly stating on that registration that it was intended to apply to bitters - copy of application shown in this listing.
