N/A. (N/A). 1. VG. Mr. J. G. Turner's obituary on 23rd May, 1938 stated: "At an early hour yesterday morning, Mr. J. G. Turner, a prominent merchant, of Hobart, died at his residence. All his lie he had taken an active interest in matters relating lo the welfare of the city, particularly matters associated with the harbor. Mr. Turner was the third son of the late "William Turner, who conducted a public market on a site in front of Parliament House, Hobart, and resided in Campbell Street. For more than 50 years Mr. J. G. Turner conducted a business in Morrison Street, and dealt largely in fruit, which brought him in contact with many fruitgrowers, by whom he was highly esteemed." This sauce bottle has a wide band of water type stain internally which should soak out. Couple of patches of grime externally. Curved making fold to lower neck. Couple of little fisheyes. A few scratches and the odd little scuff mark. Most interesting bottle, I have never seen one before. A little bland with the writing around the heel, this is all about the rarity. 2. VG. Dirty. 5 x 3 mm flake to upper right lip. 6 x 2 mm bruise to lower ear lip. Tiny flake to upper front neck. 4 x 4 mm bruise to mid front. Lump of hard grime to right shoulder. Some light scratches and the odd scuff mark. 3. EXC. Some inner dirt and very light haze, this will partly clean out. A of Sauce has a little impact surface flake. Some scuffs around the upper body, nothing deep though. A few light scratches as well. Lovely embossing, just some minor little spots of wear. 4. EXC.
