Loco Aerated Water Co. / Trade / (Train) / Mark / Midland Junction. Base Mark: M. (Western Australia). Aerated Water. Codd. Applied top. Four way pour Dobson style patent with four dimples. Aqua. 6 oz. 195 mm. 1900s
Very Good. (7.5). A bit of light haze in places, but plenty of shiny areas. Inner right half has most of the hazy looking appearance, this could actually clean up a fair bit with a good soaking? A bit scuffed to front above the badge, there is a fisheye or two here too and a tiny patch of surface crazing over about 4 x 4 mm. Rear upper body has some scuffs and a couple of fisheyes as well. Strong embossing is pretty good, there is a little flake to the T of Junction, otherwise there are just some little nicks and spots of high point wear scattered around. Just behind the right seam is a wide, scuffed scratch down most of the body, this is not deep though. Similar, thinner scuffed surface scratch down the mid rear. Small patch of surface wear near rear base edge. Right rear base edge has an impact with a discoloured fisheye under it. Front right base edge has a couple of little discoloured impact marks. Tiny sliver to mid rear. Some scuffs and scratches around the body in general which are not deep. Of the few known to collectors, a seasoned Western Australian collector who has handled this bottle described it as the best example he had seen. A really good example of an extremely rare and sought after bottle, particularly in this small size which is less often seen than its rare bigger brother! Don't miss this opportunity, it is the first example that we have sold and we are not likely to get another in a hurry! Estimate: $3000-4000
