Trade (Circle / Congreve's / (Oranges & Leaves) / Orange Phosphate) Mark. Vertical ribs around three quarters of the bottle. Base: 913. (Brisbane, Queensland). Household. Cordial. Champagne shape. Blob top. Clear. About 10 oz. 199 mm. 1900s
Very Good. (7.5). Nick to left lip edge. Nick to lower front left lip. A bit of light haze in places, though could be mostly made up of a fine layer of dirt. Couple of scratches to inner lip. Some scratches and the odd scuff mark. Fine 3 mm fracture to lower right rear on one of the ribs. Attractive and unusual bottle. Congreve also had a similar shaped sauce bottle. Also seems to be a New Zealand connection as these Orange Phosphate bottles have been found there. Congreve had been in business with a Mr Moffat who later operated in New Zealand. Estimate: $75-100
