Small Bellarmine with front embellishment as well. Pottery, Bellarmine Small Bellarmine with handle, bearded man and embellishment to front bearing a lion. 213 mm 1600s-1640s
Repaired (0). Chip or two to upper rim. Some paintwork around the neck and handle, just above the head of the cardinal and you can see a join through the lower handle as well. Pretty good job is hard to spot, the vendor made no mention so was likely not aware of this being repaired. A few little flakes to the heel. Some lumps and bumps from making. Even with the repair, this is a wonderful example with the medallion to the front, the entire body is original and even the upper neck could well be the original one glued back on? Not entirely sure there. Estimate: $200-300
